The Pugima Story

The Pugima Story

In 2000 we did build a small clinic in Papua, Pugima.  In those days this was an adventure. Friends about us, Noegi and Mirjam (Indonesian doctor and Dutch missionary) played a role in the planting of the project. Also, two female missionaries (Jannie and Iris) were involved. After many years, it became more and more difficult to get information from the project. Finally, during a church meeting where I preached in Papua a young man came on my path. He was part of a foundation that took care of HIV patients in Papua. To make a  long story short, we donated the clinic to that organisation.

In November 2022 we had a meeting in Surabaya with the Nanan family from Papua. They could give us a good report of the clinic, still after twenty years up and running! How great was that.
