It is in 2022, when the Corona Pandemic was under control, that traveling to the different Countries that have an MMMI partner or worker was again possible.

In this short overview the state of our commitment to those projects and partners is shown. It is only recently that new seminars and prophetic revival meetings were done in collaboration with local partners in Asia. We live in an exciting time as doors to move are again open.

India

Our fellow workers in India received the donation of a car. Different sponsors gave tot hat. The car is used while I write this for all kinds of ministry activities in a large area of middle India. Those activities are education, training of leaders and above all children’s ministry. Material support for families with blankets, packages with groceries or other tools needed for childraising are often part of these outreaches. There is a long term vision to set up an NGO. In fact the basic administrative steps are already done. It though will take some years before sponsors from other countries can support. Therefore, all financial support from MMMI goes through close personal contacts.

Nepal

Girish Karki, the MMMI director for Nepal, received a monthly salary of 150 Euro each month. This will help him to be much more available for traveling in the Eastern part of Nepal. As a nurse he is a great example of someone that combines caregiving with Christian ministry. We love him very much, he is a long term friend, he has hosted many teams. One of the main supporters now is the church, St John’s en St Philip’s in Den Haag.

Bangladesh

In march Peter will be visiting the missionary’s family van de Spek. They will work together in a conference for leaders and a marriage seminar.

Indonesia

November 2022 MMMI was involved in one of the greatest projects until now in Indonesia (in terms of budget and scale). In partnership with the Geresia Gerakan Pentekosta (Pinkstergemeente Indonesia) 7 cities were visited with seminars. Theme’ s: Healing Ministry in the Marker Place, The prophetic ministry. Empowering of emerging leaders (teaching and prophetic ministry). New Insights and keys on Church planting. 28 en 29 March GGP celebrate her hundred year of existence in Indonesia.

Malaysia

Malaysia was visited for the third time. This time in partnership with the Diocese of West Malaysia. In some twenty churches revival meetings happened. This took three weeks and driving a thousand and more miles.

Lesotho

Kehle is entering a new phase. This year, with support from MMMI he started with higher education. In the future this makes it possible for him to develop projects.

Brasil

Daisy van de Hout translated one of Peter’s book in Portugese, publishing will also be as E book through our web designer and publisher.

Social Media

A new WhatsApp group “Friends in Mission” was formed to bring together all of our mission friends. Encouraging to see how they communicate together over the vast boundaries of continents.

Our Board

The MMMI board saw the coming of Mark Huizinga. Mark is a medical doctor who is currently in his training years to become a general practitioner. Our financial administration is going over from Jorij to Rebecca. We are so very thankful for that.

Theological study

A short report from Peter: “When I finished the Master on Ministerial Studies in 2020 I had no idea to continue. But especially during the corona time it was so obvious that further study was not only possible but also necessary to be able to continue working together with seminaries in an accredited way. Until now revival meetings and seminars were build on the presence of God, his anointing, the many years of experience, study and reading. Now it is time to go to another level. This culminated in a startup with a Doctoral study in the USA. An interesting challenge as I work still as a GP in the Netherlands some days a week. I intend to finish three modules a year.”

Safeguarding Policy

MMMI wants to have a clear policy on the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people that we meet in our church meetings, seminars and medical outreaches. MMMI Holland is a mission partner with the Anglican Church. This denomination has developed a very good program on this. Peter did some of the courses in this church on safeguarding and the plan is to make it more visible on our website in the future and in our communications with partners in the mission field.

How thankfull is it when people that you have known in their spiritual journey with Christ from the start on, more then 35 years ago, are brought back on your path in the last weeks of their life.

This happened to me recently when it was brought to my attention that one of my former patients was in a Hospice.

Whe we talk about long term relations it is more like having walked a long way together through all kinds of moments, great and troublesom. Real life matters and that contains a lot of human effort and suffering. It is not that te spiritual side of living with faith si on the front, very often it is shallow and covered by the ceoncerns of the life situaton. But like we say in Holland in a saying: End Good All Good. The question is, when in the end stage of life, what does count and where is your heart going to.

I was so happy to sit and listen to him, and when at the end of our conversation it was possible to give him a blessing, like a father would do with his son, that was something words cannot express.

These are the heart encounters that makes life and serving as a health professional, even after retirement, very meaningfull.

Simple words shared, can come back after many years and create thes kind of encounters.

Ecclesiastics 11: 6 Throw your bread on the water,as you will find it again after many days.

The interesting thing about living basicly in quaraine, is that the daily agenda completely changes. Putting your travelers DNA on hold, canceling flights, and a shift towards anything that creatively can be done on line. Not only our own church connection was online, but ministry became an online business. In june a real healing service was done with the Womans Aglow group in Amsterdam. That was wonderful.

Someone, who visited me for coaching in my house in the countryside gave me the clue: God realizes ther is more space now, instead of having all your duties, now you will find that new ministry comes on your way.

I will never forget the lesson that I learned while in Namibia. During a conference and being exhausted, I realized very freshly the pricniple taht actuwllay the only real ministry God asks is the you give love to the one he puts in front of you.

I obviously had forgotten this lesson, but since a 2 years this has become reality And those that are put in fronf of me are indeed very different. Not at all all spiritual. The elder neigbour in Germany that needs a talk. The one patient that seemingly got my new number and sends a suicide SMS to me. The list is long, in fact it does go on without me noticing.

And then again, sometimes, out of the blue a mission friend from the other side of the world contacts me, and we end up in prayer, how awesome.

A prophetic Blog for this time and season.

4 years ago, right after the conference in Namibia on intercession, I had a spiritual encounter that made great impression on me. After so many years of traveling , evangelism, visiting all kind of people groups, working with so many local churches or missionairies, I entered into a phase of comple exhaustion, and I did dread the time that I would have to go again.

Then, and in that state of mind, I had an experience that during a night of being a wake I saw a vision. In this vision I observed myself as if I looked upon myself from a short distance. I saw myself on mu knees in my prayer room, which was in those days in the topfloor of my hous, aboven the practice.

In that vision i saw in a flash that a man appeared in the room, suddenly, who said to me in English: “Wait for the coming of the Lord” .

This vision convinced me and changed my perspective in ministry. Not only did I start a yeralong stduy on the endtimes and the book of Daniel and Revelation, but I also started speaking and preaching on this. So a pastors conferenc was held in Malang , Indonesia about this. And wherever I went with whatever assignment of speaking, this was a message that I always ended with.

Last September God confirmed this earlier vision with another vision, now assigning me to bring it in the pulpit. What first was a personal “waiting” now became becoming a voice to speak about it.

In one of the local meetings in Jakarta another vision was seen, now in the church, on the platform, beside the pulpit. During this vision a new anointing to preach on the coming back of the King and the preparation of our hearts was given. Because of COVID the last time i was able to share was in the conference in England, but since I have produced Youtube films that speak on it.

The interesting thing is, that a third confirmation was on the way, that I did not know of, but in a dream I was called to go to Jerusalem, and definitely and sure I recieved a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit there, peparing for this new mission of warning and prophetic speaking.

So we see the three phases, first the personal preparation, during a time of loss and loosing of ministry, second the message , the word recieved in the vision in Jakarta, and third the holy Presence of God being there to be able to do so.

It is wonderful to always make new friends, but is is painful to lose the old ones. This summer I had a dream, and in the dream I met one of my old mission friends that in real life was somewhat forgotten-those things happen when your contacts move to another town or another church-. The process of getting older creates in itself some distance, may it be because you do not have the energy to run around like you used to.

In my dream my friend was more than healthy. He had this glow of God’s presence with him, that really spoke to my heart and encouraged me.

So I called him, to tell the dream. It might encourage him.

The sad story was, that he was seriously ill, and I only had the possibility of making 3 tele-calls and pray with him for 2 months, before he went to the Lord. But how precious from God to give this farewell.

God knows how much you long for lasting friendships. In this world that may not be always how it works out, but let us together look for the time that we come to the shore of this great ocean of eternity, where the sun of Jesus’ glory is enough, where there is no tears, no sorrow, but only rejoicing.

Some of my old patients, that I knew for more than 30 years have gone to the Lord also. Quite special to be able to be a spiritual father of the young that stay behind.

And last week, I got a message that one of my great pastor friends in South Africa suddenly went to the Lord, he was 4 years younger than me! It doubled my feelings of loss that I already had in January, when I got message that my great friend Ben Vinke went to the Lord.

South Africa has changed for me. It has lost some of the coziness of the old days, will I ever find joy there again?
